4. What will the personal information I provide be used for?

Apinio collects some personal data about each member for a number of reasons. Firstly, it enables us to contact you about research to take part in. Secondly, it enables us to contact you with just those surveys which are relevant to you. Thirdly, it helps us to analyze our survey data by for example, your gender, age, or what region you live in.

5. How often will I receive survey invitations?

We can’t say how often you will receive invitations because it depends on the number of surveys we conduct and the needs of our clients. Some members will receive more invitations than others because they are in the target group for specific clients.

6. How do I get more survey initations?

If you are interested in receiving more surveys it is a good idea to make sure your profile is complete and fully updated. You can see and edit your profile by logging on to your account.

7. Why didn't I receive the confirmation email?

We have become aware that Hotmail (and possibly other email providers) some times categorize our mails as spam/junk email. This means that you may have to look in your spam/junk mail folder to find our confirmation email (and invitations).

8. Sometimes surveys are closed before the scheduled end time. Why?

We will always try to leave our surveys open for as long as we can to enable our members to have a chance to respond. But some projects have very tight deadlines so we start analyzing the data as soon as the targeted number of people have answered.

9. Who reads the findings?

Who reads research findings depends on the client who has commissioned the research. Sometimes research is used internally by a client for example, in order to inform a marketing or policy decision. In this case, the research is not usually made publicly available.

10. Will I get spam as a result of signing up to the survey panel?

No. We are not in the business of selling personal data on to third parties. Your contact details will only be used to contact you for research and special offers. We take the security of your personal data very seriously and obey all laws regarding personal information protection and follow international standards issued by ESOMAR (the world organization for market research).
